Recently, we successfully convinced the California Court of Appeals to reverse our client’s conviction, and to order the case dismissed. In this case, arresting officers were investigating a shooting which occurred approximately three weeks prior to our client’s arrest.
Witnesses to the shooting saw the shooter drive away in a black Lexus with a gold logo. The officers stopped the black Lexus our client was riding in, and arrested our client. We were able to convince the Court of Appeals that there was not enough evidence to permit the officers to arrest our client.
We successfully got all evidence seized during the subsequent search of the vehicle suppressed, leaving no evidence to support the charges. Conviction Reversed! Case Dismissed!
